Bronze and Dreams: The Unique Alchemy of Theodor Hoidekr & Štěpánka Pencová – Founders of HILT Black Light Theatre Once, two very different souls met on a Prague stage, and fate melted them into something new. This is the story of how Theodor and Štěpánka’s unexpected friendship created HILT – a theatre born not from a plan, but from heart, courage, and a bit of magic. Some stories begin with a spark. Ours began in Prague, in 2001, when a tall, energetic dreamer named Theodor Hoidekr joined the black light theatre “WOW show” as a dancer and later as a production assistant. In the first season, a newcomer named Štěpánka Pencová entered the troupe. She was smaller in stature, bursting with curiosity, new to the stage, and quick to laugh at life’s absurdities.They were cast together in a surreal fairy tale: Theo as the dreaming man, Štěpánka as the magical goblin guiding him through worlds of wonder. The chemistry was instant – not just on stage, but in life. Different as copper and tin, but destined to become something stronger together. Over time, their friendship grew beyond theatre.They shared secrets, dreams, late-night rehearsals and laughter in the wings. Both stood out from the crowd: Theo, openly gay and never hiding his heart; Štěpánka, fearless and proudly unique. Their differences – in height, in style, in spirit – became their greatest strength. In 2007, that friendship became a theatre. Together, Theodor and Štěpánka founded HILT Black Light Theatre. But what truly made HILT special was never just the lights and illusions. ¡El teatro HILT Black Light de Praga lanza el pegadizo sencillo en español "Entra a la oscuridad"! https://hilt-theatre.cz HILT black light theatre Prague, conocido en español como "HILT Teatro Negro Praga", lleva su singular estilo de entretenimiento interactivo con luces más allá del escenario. Este innovador grupo teatral, liderado por los directores Theodor Hoidekr y Stepanka Pencova, busca constantemente nuevas formas de conectar con el público y colaborar con otros artistas. Ahora, se adentran en el mundo de la música con su nuevo sencillo, "Entra a la Oscuridad", el lema de HILT : "Entra en la oscuridad (para ver la luz)". Esta no es la primera incursión de HILT en la música. Ya tienen un sencillo en checo, "Images of Love", que se presentará en la gran final de sus conciertos a partir de octubre de 2024. Sin embargo, "Entra a la Oscuridad" marca un paso significativo al abrazar un nuevo lenguaje y género. Theodor Hoidekr compuso la letra y la melodía iniciales, aprovechando el poder de la IA para la traducción y la finalización musical, incluyendo las voces generadas por IA. Este enfoque moderno complementa a la perfección el espíritu vanguardista del teatro. ¿Por qué español y raggaeton? HILT ha visto crecer su base de fans en países hispanohablantes, y el equipo reconoció la popularidad inherente y el ritmo enérgico de la música en español. Los directores, Theodor y Stepanka, encontraron inspiración durante su escapada anual de vacaciones a bordo de MSC Cruceros. Este año, exploraron las Islas Canarias en el "MSC Opera", donde quedaron cautivados por la energía contagiosa del raggaeton. Esta experiencia consolidó su decisión de crear una canción con influencias del raggaeton, trayendo los vibrantes sonidos de los cruceros de vuelta a Praga. El video musical resultante de "Entra a la Oscuridad" es un deleite visual. Incorpora imágenes coloridas de sus fascinantes actuaciones de teatro negro. En un giro único, el rostro de František Stehlík, el actor más joven de HILT, se utiliza como modelo de canto, con sus labios sincronizados con la letra, lo que añade un toque surrealista a la estética moderna.

Show "Images of love" - from 11th October 2024 How many forms can love take? The show in which short film projections about the dreams of any of us turn directly on stage into black light theatre images. Together we will dream of love from the first meeting of two people. We will go through the moments of first dates, discos, romance. Dreams will lead us to a multi-armed goddess or an African tribe, and a nightmare will try to scare us. Which form of love will win and turn into a beautiful and fairy-tale love? Will it be a story like Cinderella or will the nightmare win, which will drag our couple in love into a stereotype without a hint of original romantic feeling? Images of love is a multimedia performance based specifically on black light theatre that will appeal to all ages. This performance is not classical theater as we know it. It is a visually entertaining form of show, often very much in contact with the viewer. You can dream romantically, dance internally with the characters, laugh or be afraid. At the same time, you don't have to sit in the auditorium of ordinary theaters in formal evening clothes, you come to us to have fun and dream! The entire performance is non-verbal and therefore without a language barrier. Most of the music is a HILT black light theatre original written by director Theodore Hoidekr. Many scenes are accompanied by world hits, e.g. from the singer Shakira, from Sting, AC/DC, Coldplay, music from the movie Dirty dancing or a mystical version of a choral song from Koutev Bulgarian national ensemble (for these songs, the HILT black light theatre specially secured a license to presenting in its performance Images of love!).
